Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Cross Browser Sync ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect the absolute minimum data required to provide our cross-browser synchronization service:
- Account Data: Your email address, used solely for authentication and account recovery via Google Firebase Authentication.
- Bookmark Data: The structure, titles, and URLs of your browser bookmarks.
2. How Your Data is Secured
Your data is stored securely in Google Cloud Firestore databases. All bookmark data is heavily compressed before being transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not sell, rent, or share your bookmark data with any advertising platforms or third parties.
3. Payment Processing
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. All billing information (such as credit card numbers) is handled securely by Paddle. Cross Browser Sync does not have access to, nor do we store, your credit card details.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your current bookmark tree and up to 3 historical snapshots. You have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. When an account is deleted, all historical data is permanently purged from our databases.
5. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact our support team at support@crossbrowsersync.com.
